Parent Education
Morning and evening Montessori Parent Workshops are offered throughout the year. In many cases the school offers child care. Workshops include hands-on
discoveries with the materials and classrooms, presentations by students, faculty and guest speakers.
Articles and photo essays of how children are learning at each level are included in our bi-weekly publication, "Happenings". This publication also
features information on upcoming events that may include parent education, important dates to remember, as well as synopses of past happenings.
Ways to be Involved
The Hershey Montessori Community is dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of the school by engaging in community-building family events such as the
Harvest Festival, Holiday Program, Open Classrooms, Annual Wine and Cheese Social and the Annual Spring Benefit.
These, and other event opportunities are listed on our website.
Additionally, parents contribute their skills and interests as needed with class trips, sharing a cultural or artistic presentation, or joining ad-hoc
committees with the staff, such as the current Nutrition Committee.
