Morning Care and Early Start
Families who need the option of early morning care may enroll in one of these programs:

• Morning Care
  Primary, Elementary and Adolescent students may attend this program which provides a relaxed and home-like atmosphere for the children before school begins. This program is offered between 7:30 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.
• Early Start
  Children in the Young Child Community (ages 12 to 30 months) enrolled in this program may join their classroom early- between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

After Care and Late Dismissal
Families who need the option of after school care may enroll in one of these programs:

• After Care
  "Please don't come early!" are words parents often hear from children (ages 30 months to 15 years) enrolled in After Care. Children enjoy the games, crafts, cooking, music, literature, nutritious snacks, movement, sport, and lots of outdoor play and exploration.

  Care is taken to keep the continuity of Montessori values and principles throughout the After Care period. Adults actively participate and work side-by-side with the children:

  • Playing board games, chess and other games of strategy while modeling empathy, kindness, respect and courtesy.
  • Spending time outdoors or in the gym is an important part of every child's day in After Care. Older children explore the woodland trails, play ball games or simply enjoy inventing their own games in the great outdoors. Younger children enjoy the climbing apparatus and other equipment such as parachutes, kites, ball games, sidewalk art, nature art and natural treasure hunts.

  After Care Hours

  • Block I: for children ages 30 months to 3 years who need to nap or rest - 11:45 a.m. through 3:30 p.m.
  • Block II: for children 30 months through Elementary - 3:30 p.m. through 4:40 p.m.
  • Block III: for children 30 months through Adolescence - 4:40 p.m. through 6:00 p.m.
• Late Dismissal
  Children in the Young Child Community's school day program (ages 12 to 30 months) may extend their hours in the classroom by enrolling in the Late Dismissal program. This is offered in two blocks:
  • Block II: 3:30 p.m. through 4:40 p.m.
  • Block III: 4:40 p.m. through 6:00 p.m.

Young Child Community All-Day Montessori
Families who need all day care for their young child, ages 12 to 30 months, may pay one tuition for a 9 ½ hour block of their choosing between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (for example, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.).
